This training provides you with a practical and theoretical introduction to the LEAN philosophy with a focus on warehouse operations. Over two intense days, you will gain tools to identify waste, create improvements, and lead change efforts in your organization. 

PURPOSE & GOALS: 

The purpose of the training is to give participants a practical and theoretical introduction to LEAN with a particular focus on application within warehouse operations. After the training, participants should: 

  • Understand the basic principles of LEAN and how these can be applied to optimize material flows, work routines, and space utilization in a warehouse environment. 

  • Be able to identify waste in warehouse processes - such as overstocking, unnecessary transports, waiting times, or picking errors - and propose concrete improvement actions in their own operations.

  • Understand how group dynamics, communication, and motivation affect change processes in warehouse teams, and how leaders can create engagement for continuous improvements. 

  • Have insight into when and how LEAN methods are particularly applicable in warehouse operations, as well as being able to argue for its advantages from a logistics and operational perspective. 


FOR WHOM? 

The course is aimed at leaders and specialists who are responsible for or influence processes and workflows within warehouses and logistics.  

STRUCTURE & APPROACH:

The training will take place over two full days and is led by an experienced facilitator with deep expertise in LEAN and warehouse/production operations. The course is interactive and alternates theory with practical exercises through the LEAN game adapted for the warehouse environment. The course topics are based on LEAN's PDCA cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Act), which means participants learn by testing, evaluating, and reflecting on their results. 

Examples of topics covered:  

  • Introduction to LEAN and why it works 

  • Practical exercises in flow improvement 

  • Basic tools/methods within LEAN 

  • Group theory, communication, and motivational styles 


Transfer to everyday life: The course concludes with participants reflecting on how they can apply LEAN in their own work environments. The focus is on creating concrete ideas that can be implemented immediately after the course.

DATES: February 3-4, 2026. Times will be distributed well in advance of the course start.

LOCATION: Mässans Gata 10, 412 51 Gothenburg (at Korsvägen).

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 9, 2026

COURSE FEE: 10,950 SEK excluding VAT. Invoicing will occur in connection with the latest registration date for the course. The fee includes lunch and snacks during both days. Accommodation and other meals are not included.
